How to Play

Play Animals Connect 3 online for free. Animals Connect 3 is a 10-stage timed Mahjong Connect game featuring cute drawings of animals. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the Play button on the right side of the welcome screen to start the game.
Under the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select dropdown.
The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for social sharing and reading game developer information.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to select two identical stones which can be connected by a line which does not pass through any other stones and is either straight or does not turn at right angles more than twice.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the screen with a finger to select identical stone pairs to remove them from the board.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The right rail contains the game controls.
        At the top it shows the current level number, cumulative game score, and remaining level timer.
        Next are buttons to shuffle tiles or request hints.
        Each button can be used up to 3 times per level.
        At the bottom are buttons to pause the game, switch to full screen mode, control game sound, and control game music.
        Game Play
        Stone matching
        Identical pairs
        You can only match identical animal stones.
        Connecting lines
        Lines connecting 2 stones may not pass through any other stones.
        Connecting lines must either be straight vertical or horizontal, or have no more than 2 right angle turns.
        Levels
        This game has 10 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
        You can’t replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
        Level time
        You are given 5 minutes to beat the first level.
        Each subsequent level gives you a shorter time limit than the prior level.
        Initially the difference is 20 seconds, but later it shifts to reducing by 10 seconds.
        If you fail to clear the board before the timer reaches zero.
        Select Try Again to replay the level & continue your game. This game offers unlimited continues.
        Select End Game to finish your game. This will allow you to submit your score, but erases your game progress.
        Board size
        The initial board size is a 6×7 matrix of 42 stones.
        The board size increases as you progress throughout the game.
        Second level: 7×8 matrix of 56 stones
        Third level: 8×8 matrix of 64 stones
        Fourth level: 9×8 matrix of 72 stones
        Fifth level: 10×9 matrix of 90 stones
        Sixth level 12×9 matrix of 108 stones
        The seventh through tenth level have the same board size as the sixth level, but shorter time limits.
        Tile filling
        Many Mahjong Connect games fill tiles in one direction or another as tiles are removed.
        This game does not fill in tiles. Tiles remain in their original positions as you remove other tiles.
        Scoring
        Your game score is cumulative across levels.
        Scoring points
        Each tile pair you remove is worth 50 points.
        Chain bonus
        If you remove multiple tile pairs consecutively you activate a chain bonus.
        2 sets is worth an extra 30 points
        3 sets is worth an extra 60 points
        4 sets is worth an extra 100 points
        5 sets is worth an extra 150 points
        6 sets is worth an extra 210 points
        7 sets is worth an extra 280 points
        8 sets is worth an extra 360 points
        9 sets is worth an extra 450 points
        10 sets is worth an extra 550 points
        11 sets is worth an extra 660 points
        12 sets is worth an extra 780 points
        13 sets is worth an extra 910 points
        14 sets is worth an extra 1,050 points
        15 sets is worth an extra 1,200 points
        16 sets is worth an extra 1,360 points
        17 sets is worth an extra 1,530 points
        18 sets is worth an extra 1,710 points
        19 sets is worth an extra 1,900 points
        20 sets is worth an extra 2,100 points
        Maximizing chain bonuses
        It is easier to keep chain bonuses going by matching tiles which are further away, so they take longer to connect.
        It is easier to make long chains on later levels since the levels have more stones on them.
        If a connecting set of stones has not yet been fully removed you can not create another path which relies on them being removed for it to work.
        Each second you have remaining when you beat a level is worth an additional 10 points.
        Spending points
        Shuffling tiles costs 300 points.
        Using hints costs 200 points.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Connect tile match games.
