How to Play

Play Brainie online for free. Brainie is a number-clearing game based on mathematical operators. To clear numbers onscreen, group them together to form the number shown on the top center. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Wait for the welcome screen to load.
On the welcome screen, select Start to begin the game.
Select Help to learn about the game and its controls.
Select the speaker button on the top right corner to toggle the game’s audio.
Game Controls

  - Add a number to the selection by left clicking on it with your mouse.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap on any number on the screen with your fingers to add it to your selection.
    - Game Play
      - Basic rules
        Select a group of numbers equal to the value of the number shown on the rectangle on the top of the screen.
        Numbers which individually match the amount shown at the top or when grouped would form that number.
        If numbers do not have any mathematical sign on them then those tiles do addition.
        You can also use negatives (numbers with a minus before them), multipliers (numbers with an asterisk before them) divisors (numbers with a slash before them) alongside conventional ones to get the desired amount.
        Numbers must follow the following rules to be grouped together.
        Numbers needn’t be adjacent to one another to form a group.
        You cannot start a group of numbers with a multiplier or divisor.
        You can match numbers of any color and in any location.
        Undoing selections
        To remove a number from the selection, simply left click or tap on it again.
        You can clear your entire selection by pressing the button on the top left corner.
        Explosives
        You can clear out large groups of numbers using explosive boxes by choosing which color you want to blow up.
        Your score depends on the following:
        The number of numbers you grouped together to form the desired amount
        Whether the numbers are of the same color (you can score a color bonus if all match).
        Whether you clear out all the numbers in the head.
        The head slowly fills up with more numbers.
        To keep playing, you must remove as many numbers as you can.
        When the head is filled with numbers, it’s game over.
        Game modes
        Classic mode
        Keep playing until the timer runs out.
        Once you’re done, you can move onto the next level.
        You can keep moving onto the next level until you decide to quit.
        Action mode
        Numbers fall down quickly.
        Clear out as many numbers as you can until the head fills up with numbers.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for people who love math, logic puzzles, or want to practice arithmetic.
        The game has no adult themed content.
